How does the popularity of Eno measure up against Grand Trunk?

This is a close one that’s for sure. For me there’s a clear winner though.

Picking between any two hammocks is hard.

Today we have the Grand Trunk Double up against the Eno Doublenest.

Grand Trunk Double Parachute Nylon Hammock

Now this one’s close to my heart. This Grand Trunk hammock was the first hammock that helped me fall in love with hammock camping.

There’s a lifetime warranty here so no worries about your dog chewing this bad boy up like he did your homework in high school.

The Grandtrunk Double is made out of high strength mildew resistant parachute nylon.

It’s oversized for comfort. Coming in at 10’6” by 6’6” it’s one of the larger hammocks on the market.

And for me the bigger hammocks are extremely important for comfort.

The weight limit like the DoubleNest is 400lbs so neither one has the edge there.

The actual weight of the hammock itself is a little heavier than the Eno but I think it’s well worth the comfort gained.

That also won’t be important unless your hiking wtih your hammock which is a whole other ball game.

ENO DoubleNest Hammock

Like mentioned in one of our other head to head comparisons, the Double Nest is by far the most popular hammock available right now.

And here you’re not going to hear anything new about the doublenest. But in case you didn’t see the kammmok vs doublenest comparison I’ll describe it again.

It comes out of the box with a two year warranty and chances are if you run into someone with a hammock it’s a DoubleNest.

The 70D High Tenacity Nylon is strong enough to hold 400lbs. So if you and your honey want to chill in this while taking a break from the trail go right ahead.

But sleeping together in it is difficult in this type of hammock. If that’s what you’re looking for look here.

Anyways back on track.

You won’t have any trouble finding the color hammock you want because there’s a huge variety of them.

Then there’s also the fact that if from a distace you see someone with a camping hammock you can start a conversation with them asking if it’s an Eno and chances are it is.

Boom, now you’ve got a new friend.

I bet you didn’t think a hammock could help you get a new friend now did ya.

Here’s a video review of the Eno doublenest.

Conclusion and My Choice

The Grand Trunk vs Eno hammock.

So who wins in this?

For me there’s a clear winner. But as I’ve mentioned before, I’m taller (5’11”) so I favor the larger hammocks as they’re more comfortable for me.

I’m picking the Grand Trunk Double Hammock the only reason being that it’s bigger than the Eno.

Both are still solid hammocks, roughly in the same price range but the DoubleNest is a tad cheaper.

If you’re under 5’8” I’d say go with the Eno DoubleNest, you’ll be comfortable and you’ll save a few bucks too.

Neither of these hammocks have any fancy bells or whistles so we’ll wrap this one up.

Happy hangin.
